Hey, so i've been thinking of some ideas for the forums!

1). Competitive Pokemon sections for  Pokémon DPPT.
2). Badge implementation. There should be badges for good users who contribute e.g. Contributing to the site, aiding in scripting, being a good battler, being a good artist e.t.c.
3). These badges gain you special rights, i.e. the right to a larger avatar or signature, the right to a custom title.
4). IRC Internet relay client -  A chat program basically. PHO could open up a Chanel, somewhere for online chatting with multiple members.

I feel these ideas would benefit the community greatly, giving rewards for being a good user, and encouraging interaction between users via IRC. I would not mind writing up tutorials for IRC or competitive Pokemon battling myself, and i'm sure others are willing to help.

Also, i think it would be  good idea to mass email PHO's users, telling them it's active again, to encourage more activity!

Those are some pretty good suggestions.

I can handle the first one. I was going to re-evaluate/edit the boards and see if I can add new ones. That's my weekend project.
As for the other two, I'll have to look further into it. Pinkie is more familiar with these SM boards than I. We'll see.

I'd be hesitant to mass e-mail all the members at the moment about returning. Once we get new things implemented, we'll let people know. People need to see something new; something dynamic to win them back. Otherwise, it's just another Pokémon forum.

It's hardly, "another Pokemon forum". PHO offers an Oekaki, a good website and good forums -- and it could establish a variety of different services ranging from IRC chat, competitive Pokemon tutoring, tournaments and general help.

I appreciate the encouragement. Pinkie and I are working on some important projects at the moment; and believe me, the forum is apart of it.
